Title: V7.3 changed textarea editor enter key behavior
Post by: ralph1996 on September 05, 2020, 01:43:34 am
The latest version (7.3) now requires users to use Alt-Enter to add a carriage return to the textarea.  This was not the case previously.  Is there an option for reverting to the old behavior?  Otherwise we will probably have to add an event handler on the text area as we have clients who regularly use this for typing in notes etc. and Alt-Enter is very uncommon for that.

I realize this is compatible with Excel spreadsheet functionality, but I don't think that is the best use case in all situations.

Thank you.

Any help on this would be appreciated.  Is it possible to have an option to define which behavior you want in textarea editors?

I'm looking into it.

Please use recent v7.5.0 for adding line breaks with Enter key alone.
