Pop up menu
« on: May 22, 2020, 05:18:36 pm »
Hi,  I want to have a single button to open the show hide menu on the grid header or page instead of on each grid column as  a tab with the filter but also retain the filter buttons on the grid.  How can this be done?

Show hide column menu can be displayed as standalone control either in toolbar or outside the grid.

Here is an old example for the same in toolbar: https://paramquery.com/pro/demos51/showhide_columns

Please let me know if you need any further assistance on this.

Unfortunately that does not quite work.  We tried that and it has a nested column issue in the select  .  Whereas the 'built in' show\hide option in the column icon does not it displays the structure elegantly.  See attached pictures.

I'm afraid the built in pop menu can't be used besides its designated location in the header of grid.

Alternative solution is to create standalone popup menu from scratch by displaying colModel of grid as datasource of a pq treegrid with checkboxes.
